About
An accomplished leader with unique experience in academia, commerce, and ministry, for over fifteen years Dr. Phillip Carnes worked as an executive of a successful national insurance marketing firm and as a private money manager. He is a specialist in non-profit board governance, and has served in a variety of leadership capacities within churches in California and Nevada. In addition to his coaching practice, Phillip currently serves as adjunct faculty at George Fox University.
Phillip’s rich and diverse experience in business, academia, and non-profit governance gives him discerning insight to the rigors of corporate and church leadership. His strongly relational temperament, when harnessed with best coaching practices provide him with great empathy and understanding in his personal coaching work with clients in their lives, goals, and relationships.
Dr. Carnes is a Certified Transformational Coach, an associate certified coach and mentor coach of the International Coaching Federation, and a Professional Member of the Christian Coaches Network. He has advanced degrees in Biblical Studies and Education, and a doctorate in Semiotics and Future Studies.
Phillip lives in northern Nevada with his wife of 22 years and their four children.
